www.writing.org.uk  Excellent practical hints for TV and Screen writers.

www.britishsitcomguide.co.uk  Comprehensive information on UK sitcoms, also giving info on markets for writers as well as gossip and articles.

www.chortle.co.uk  A major UK comedy site, the bible for standup comics.

www.performingcareers.com  Excellent career advice for comedy writers as well as performers from John Byrne ( of "The Stage" weekly)

www.funnywomen.co.uk  Website of organisation which promotes female standup comics and runs an annual competition.

www.writerswrite.com  Good all round writers' site.

www.deadbrain.co.uk  UK satire site. One of the few consistently funny topical websites.

www.theaudienceclub.co.uk  Great way of getting tickets for top London shows, including comedy, for just £2.00

www.scribblepad.co.uk   Useful site with tips for writers in all genres and styles
