I'm Tony Kirwood. I'm one of the UK's leading comedy teachers and coaches.
Over the last six years students have been motivated and inspired by my courses in writing sketches, sitcoms, jokes and in performing standup comedy. Several have gone on to success in selling material to the BBC and in winning competitions. Many of my courses include a performed showcase of your material at the end before an invited audience
To see the current courses I run, go to the Comedy Courses page. If you can't get down to London, don't worry, I also do distance courses by email. You'll see details of these on the Comedy Courses page. You do these at your own pace and get plenty of individual feedback. If you want to enquire further go to the Contacts page or phone 07826 009657. Check what previous students have said on the Testimonials page.

Do you want to see your sketches performed by professional actors in the West End? Do you want to have a go at writing character sketches as seen in "Armstrong & Miller" and "Little Britain"? You mauy want to take part in this course which starts on March 22nd:
WRITING COMEDY SKETCH CHARACTERS
Work with professional actors in creating your own comedy characters. Character sketches are at the heart of shows such as Armstrong & Miller, Mitchell & Webb, Little Britain and The Fast Show. You dream the characters up, you create the sketch ideas and dialogue, you see them being refined and rehearsed by the actors. The culmination is a live performance in the heart of the West End. This is an exciting and unbeatable opportunity to get in there for every part of the process of creating comedy.
To enable us to work in-depth and give the best attention to the creation and development of your characters, numbers on the course will be limited to ten participants.
Thurs 22nd March, 29th March, 5th April (evenings - 6.30), performance Saturday 14th April at 7.00pm. Cost: £80.00. If your application comes in before the end of February, it will be discounted to £65.00
